Sister Spotlight: Leandra LeForce
For our inaugural Sister Spotlight blog post, we would like to highlight Leandra LeForce, who was crowned the University of Oklahoma’s 2025-2026 Miss Indigenous Royalty last month. This achievement promotes academic excellence and dedication to community service.
The pageant, hosted by the American Indian Student Association, is a tradition that honors a distinguished and respected position within the Native American community both near and far. Contestants are judged based on an essay submission, an interview with the panel of judges, a cultural presentation, a platform presentation, a showcase of traditional talent, and an onstage question-and-answer response.
Leandra is from Alpha Chapter’s Alpha Gamma class and has been a bright spot within her chapter for the past three years, as well as serving as the 2024-2025 Black Council chair. She is currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in environmental design and a simultaneous Master’s degree in regional & city planning. A citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Leandra is from Idabel, Oklahoma, and has served as the Choctaw District 1 Princess since 2023.
Leandra’s platform speech promoting “accessible environmental sustainability” stood out. She emphasized working within the community to meet their needs through practical and accessible ways that benefit future generations. Her passion for responsible consumption and healthier lifestyle choices will aid in community-wide changes as well as long-lasting impacts.
The sisterhood of Gamma Delta Pi is proud to have Leandra LeForce as one of our members, and we truly believe she exemplifies the Gamma Delta Pi spirit. Her dedication to cultural advocacy and community engagement serves as an inspiration, highlighting the impactful roles sorority members play both on campus and beyond. Please join us in congratulating Leandra, and we look forward to watching her lead!
